A discussion with guest speakers Yarden Harari (CallisonRTKL and All For Reuse) and Becca Dobosh (SERA) about material circularity in the architecture and building industry and mapping the resources for deconstruction and material reuse across the U.S.

Yarden Harari AIA, LEED AP (BD+C, ID+C, O+M)

Yarden is a licensed Architect specializing in sustainability and social responsibility at CallisonRTKL. Bridging environmental and social context, Yarden’s goal is to broaden access and deepen strategies for sustainable design in culture and practice. With years of experience in specialty retail architecture, she has a keen grasp of the sustainability challenges faced by the industry. In the Fall of 2020, she led CRTKL’s first CoLab workshop on Zero Waste in Retail with a diverse group of attendees across the built environment ecosystem. Her focus is on sustainable materials management to foster a circular and inclusive economy. Yarden seeks to bring people together to identify new approaches to these complex issues. Yarden was a fellow in the 2018-2019 cohort of Pathways to Equity, blending an ambitious vision with real tools for systemic change. She leads the Just label process for social justice and transparency benchmarking within CRTKL.

Becca Dobosh, IIDA, LEED AP, WELL AP – Project Manager, Associate Interior Designer

Becca has over 16 years of experience in the interior design industry, with a focus on and passion for sustainability. For the past 13 years she has been an integral part of SERA’s Hospitality Studio, which focuses on custom packages for branded hotels in complex, urban environments. Her approach to incorporating sustainability into projects is deeply immersed in biophilic design with an emphasis on creating healthy interior spaces that are grounded in occupant engagement through compelling storytelling. By creating spaces that strengthen the symbiotic relationship between humans and our environment, Becca designs for long-term resiliency and wellbeing.
