Konell Construction & Demolition
Strives to achieve a maximum recycling rate on every job. We demolish in a manner that allows for maximum sorting during the demolition process and do it in a productive manner. We currently salvage old growth timbers as well as concrete and asphalt. Each demolition job has it’s own obstacles and challenges. The lumber is sorted and set aside to be tallied later on the job-site and then be sold to be reused. Concrete and asphalt are set aside for crushing at a later date. This material can then be reused to help save on the cost of importing rock and also the strain on the rock quarries.
Konell strives to live by our motto “Using the Past to Build Future”.

Certifying as a B Corporation goes beyond product- or service-level certification. B Corp Certification is the only certification that measures a company’s entire social and environmental performance. The B Impact Assessment evaluates how your company’s operations and business model impact your workers, community, environment, and customers. From your supply chain and input materials to your charitable giving and employee benefits, B Corp Certification proves your business is meeting the highest standards of verified performance.
Positive impact is supported by transparency and accountability requirements. B Corp Certification doesn’t just prove where your company excels now—it commits you to consider stakeholder impact for the long term by building it into your company’s legal structure.
Only about 2,600 companies globally have earned the certification—including Patagonia, Ben & Jerry’s and Seventh Generation—and Reitmeier is the only U.S. mechanical contractor to do so.
Urban Gypsum is a closed-loop materials recovery facility, located in Portland, Oregon, that recycles drywall waste turning it into a 99% pure powder for use in agricultural and industrial applications.
