Bios:

Senator Kate Lieber

Senator Kate Lieber represents Senate District 14, which includes Beaverton and SW Portland. She is a mother of two, a breast cancer survivor, a former community college instructor, and attorney. She is deeply invested in improving our communities and understands, as a State senator, that having power means using it wisely and justly. Senator Lieber is guided by these beliefs and principles in all her work, and sees equity as the foundational principle for all she does.

Brad Reed, Campaign Director, Building Resilience

Brad Reed is the Campaign Director for Building Resilience, a statewide coalition promoting access for all Oregonians to healthy, affordable, resilient homes and buildings that run on clean electricity. He previously worked at Renew Oregon to support multiple, ground-breaking clean energy policies such as the Oregon Climate Action Plan, Oregon’s Clean Electricity and Coal Transition Act, and Clean Fuels Standard. Prior to his career as a campaign and communication strategist, Brad was an Emmy Award-winning television news producer. He worked in Portland, OR; Charleston, SC; and Boston, MA; over a 10 year career in news.

Ana Molina, Advocacy and Systems Director, Oregon Just Transition Alliance

Ana Molina has been in the environmental justice movement since 2017 when she moved to Oregon and worked with Beyond Toxics. As their statewide environmental justice projects manager, she worked on advocacy and community organizing at both the community and statewide levels. Ana has also sat on the Racial Justice Council’s Environmental Equity Committee and is a board member and general fund grantmaker for Seeding Justice. She’s worked on various statewide campaigns including the Oregon Clean Energy Opportunity Campaign and comes from a background rooted in environmental justice.

Greer Ryan, Clean Buildings Policy Manager, Climate Solutions

Greer is the Clean Buildings Policy Manager for Climate Solutions, a regional nonprofit dedicated to accelerating clean energy solutions to the climate crisis. In this role, she works to advance state policies and regulations to reduce climate pollution in our buildings while making them safer, healthier, and more affordable for all Oregonians. Greer has over a decade of experience working on climate issues, including as a Senior Energy Policy Analyst for the national nonprofit the Center for Biological Diversity, where she co-launched the Energy Justice Program and national “No Shutoffs” Coalition. Greer holds an M.S. in Environmental Science from Indiana University and a B.S. in Molecular Environmental Biology from UC Berkeley. In her free time, she likes going to dog parks with her dog Penguin and trying desperately to make the perfect loaf of sourdough.

Ashley Haight, Manager, ZERO Coalition

Ashley has over a decade of experience in energy efficiency program management and marketing. She has a strong aptitude for building coalitions, strategic planning, project coordination, and process improvement. As a member of the solution-oriented team at ZERO, she collaborates with members to facilitate sustainable policy changes that promote equity and help decarbonize the built environment in Oregon, in line with the state’s climate obligations. As the Co-chair of the Governance & Steering Committee, she played a pivotal role in ensuring that the coalition’s mission prioritizes equity.
