We already know that the built environment is a significant contributor to GHG emissions, but how does Oregon account for emissions more fully across their life cycle and consider equity and wellbeing in the approach to drawing down these emissions? Join the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) for an engaging session where we explore these very questions. DEQ will share the results from their recently published legislative report on Oregon’s consumption-based emissions, how the built environment figures into our statewide emissions, and the inequities that are evident in the data. Together we will explore how this data and analysis can inform and reshape our approach to reducing emissions from the built environment.
