Act Now, Impact Forever: Implementable Decarbonization Planning
When it comes to existing buildings, campus, and portfolio decarbonization, it’s easy to set goals; it’s another thing to make them actionable and achievable. This McKinstry’s Zero+ Planning Studio will discuss real-world project examples and how to help owners align stakeholders, understand options and costs, and how to weave decarbonization strategies into their near- and long-term planning.
Brian is a Senior Mechanical Engineer at McKinstry, where he is a member of the Zero+ Planning Studio. With a background in energy analysis, Brian focuses on existing buildings and campus decarbonization at scale, working with customers to understand how to set and achieve their goals. Brian is particularly passionate about society’s move towards zero carbon power at the utility-scale and may occasionally indulge in a podcast or book on the topic. His passion for education extends throughout the greater Portland area, where he has worked with the next generation of decarbonizers through Portland State University’s Institute for Sustainable Solutions mentor program and the Architecture Foundation of Oregon Architects in Schools program.
