Electrification is emerging as a powerful new trend in high performance home building. Exciting technologies such as heat pumps and induction stoves combined with a dramatically cleaner electrical grid are convincing many communities that the all-electric home is the home of the future.

This session will explore the trends in all-electric homebuilding and the modern electric technologies that provide real benefits to home owners and which comply with the inevitable legislative requirements for building efficiently coming down the pipeline. It will highlight the advantages of the all electric home and address technology concerns from a builder’s perspective. Finally, this session will offer case studies on homes, neighborhoods and multi-unit dwellings to show the benefits for both the builder and consumer of building all electric.
