Please join TallWood Design Institute (TDI) alongside Karen Joslin and Rachel Wrublik of PAE Engineers, as well as Lee Glassford of KPFF Engineers as they discuss the carbon story behind mass timber—material selection, carbon accounting and green certifications through the lens of their recent project, the PAE Living Building in Portland. Once completed, the PAE Living Building will be the first living building in Portland, and the largest in Oregon: https://www.zgf.com/news_post/zgf-architects-and-pae-engineers-partner-for-portlands-first-and-oregons-largest-living-building/
TDI will also have a number of mass timber life cycle analysis (LCA) case studies on display, part of a sustainability study conducted by Alison Kwok and associates at University of Oregon’s College of Design.
Directions for entering the Tallwood Design Institute: We are on the 2nd floor of the Meier and Frank building near Pioneer Square. The entrance is on Morrison. Walk through the double doors and head down a short flight of steps to the elevators. We are right of reception, room 2047.
