Portland Green Schools Committee

This Portland Green Schools Committee welcomes those from the building and educational communities as well as other stakeholders who want to support and further our mission. Our mission is to promote resiliency and sustainability in school design, construction and operation. This committee educates and advocates for increased understanding of sustainable, green building practices for the benefit of our communities. The committee concentrates on K-12 schools and organizes educational facility tours, “green schools” educational events plus school support and improvement projects focusing on all aspects of sustainability. Monthly meetings are typically the third Friday of the month at noon and are open to anyone interested in participating.
