Want to influence statewide built environment materials policy? Have ideas about how state policy and programs can help you and the industry build a more sustainable and equitable Oregon? We want to hear from you! Join built environment staff from Oregon DEQ for a workshop to share your needs, priorities, and insights to help shape statewide built environment policy and programs.
Facilitator bios:
Amanda Ingmire (she/her) is a connector, convener, and collaborative strategist. She is a Licensed Architect and Senior Policy Analyst at the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) where her work is focused on addressing the full life cycle impacts of the built environment while centering equity, racial justice, and wellbeing. She conducts research, develops projects and programs, consults on state building projects, serves as an advisor and provides expert testimony to boards, commissions, businesses, and government entities, and collaborates with many partners to advance a holistic, systems approach to addressing some of our biggest challenges.
Jordan Palmeri is a Scientist and Senior Policy Analyst in the Materials Management Program at the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, where he coordinates projects around the built environment, life cycle assessments, and procurement. Jordan works to reduce the impacts of building materials through policy, research, technical assistance, and pilot projects. He also co-leads the Portland Hub of the Carbon Leadership Forum.
Minal Mistry is an advocate for life and the varied connection needed to help it thrive. His work applies systems thinking to develop concepts, scope research and demonstration projects, and to build capacity for advancing Oregon’s 2050 Vision for Materials Management. His current efforts focus on ways to center people and places in the materials life cycles to enhance wellbeing writ large. Minal is a biologist and an artist with experience in business, non-profit and government.
