As part of Sustainable Building Week 2020, Manufacturers for Transparency (MfT) is hosting an event focused on the experience of general and sub-contractors in this industry as it moves toward more transparency building products. General contractors and sub-contractors operate in the space between architects/designers and manufacturers and often they are the last people on the project team to know about the ambitious sustainable product goals on a project. Key elements to a successful sustainable building project include:
– An integrated design/construction team that can verify products early
– Clear communication tools (specifications) and
– Resources to help ensure follow through
Come learn from general and sub-contractors about where this sector of the building industry is heading and how they were successful in delivering some of the most ambitious, ground break sustainable buildings in the nation.
Moderators: Ren DeCherney, The Source and Terry Campbell, Sustainable NW Wood
Panelists:
